Music and dementia
Music can have many benefits for people with dementia and their carers. It can help reduce anxiety and depression, help maintain speech and language, is helpful at the end of life, enhances quality of life and has a positive impact on carers.
Music and dementia groups provide opportunities for active participation, social interaction, and peer support.
Every Voice Choir was created as a therapeutic activity for people living with dementia and their carers in West Dunbartonshire.
This group meets every second Wednesday at St Augustine’s Scottish Episcopal Church, Dumbarton, G82 1LL
